Questions
Is there a deposit?
No. There's no deposit and no holding fee. The hire price is all you pay.
How do I power it without a power point?
The included battery runs it for about 5 hours, and the car adapter powers it from your car's 12V socket.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes, with the included car adapter. It needs a clear view of the sky, so keep it on the dashboard.
Does it work at Pebbly Beach, Depot Beach and Pretty Beach campgrounds?
Yes, anywhere with a clear view of the sky. Set it up away from heavy tree cover.
How fast is it?
Typically 50 to 150 Mbps. Enough for streaming, video calls and gaming at the same time.
Why is phone reception so bad around Bawley Point and Kioloa?
Hills, thick bush and few towers, plus summer crowds overloading what's there. Starlink uses satellites, not mobile towers.
